Gary K. Booth, M.D.  
Dr. Booth grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College.  He attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, then completed his internship and residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.

Dr. Booth's career started in 1978 when he joined a branch of the UMass Family Practice teaching program as an assistant professor and staff physician.  In 1982 he moved to Belchertown and practiced as a solo physician in Monson, MA for several years before joining the practice of Robert Rechtschaffen, M.D. in Belchertown.  That practice became a part of the Baystate Health system where he practiced until 2007. The opening of Swift River Medical Associates in 2008 represents his return to private practice.

Steve Anderson, M.D.  
Dr. Anderson grew up in Needham, MA and received his undergraduate degree from UMass in Lowell, MA.    He attended medical school at University of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA and trained at the combined Medicine/Pediatrics program at Baystate Medical Center.   In 2000, he joined Drs. Booth and Robert Smith at the Belchertown Medical Associates practice on Sargent St. 

Opening Swift River Medical with Dr Booth fulfills his dream of being part of a private practice.
